Daa’wat offers Indian and Pakistani traditional dishes in Union City

Just a quick drive from San Carlos over the Bay is Daa’wat, one of my favorite Pakistani Indian restaurants.

My friends and I visit Daa’wat a few times every month and we found that the more we go the more we like the food.

I highly recommend the Goat Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Naan and the Tandoori chicken. The Fish Fillet dish is another favorite.

It’s a self-serve restaurant that provides clean environment and unlimited chai tea. Food is spicy (which we love) and delicious. Service is excellent, and the owners are very friendly and pleasant. We also have ordered take-out on several occasions.

Before you leave the restaurant, don’t forget to eat a tea spoon of sugar coated fennel seeds (Mukhwas). It helps settling your stomach and also acts as “mouth freshener”

And as always, if you visit, tell them you read about their restaurant on Rona’s blog.
